After begging Carol Jessen to send us more of her fabulous work, we finally have a few new paintings to show you! She spent some time recently in California's Sonoma Valley and has sent us two of the resulting landscapes, one of which is pictured above. Carol is really showing her previous experience in pastels with Sonoma Vines - she's applied the oil paint so softly, yet with such a rich hue of color that at first glance we mistook it for a pastel! Sonoma Vines soothes the soul, with lavender mist over the lush valley and the softly glowing tips of the leaves on the grape vines.
Distant Lights offers a wonderful view of the fog rolling into San Francisco over the bay. While differing from her usual cityscapes, Carol's signature style is maintained in this glossy, ready to hang oil on board. Her rich attention to detail never wavers, no matter the subject. Carol and yet again masterfully captured the warmth within the city.
Come on in to take a look at Carol's new landscapes and her classic cityscapes before they're all snatched up!
