Body Art at Chemers Gallery

No matter the medium, Chemers Gallery strives to provide unique works of art to display on your walls or your body. No, we haven't turned into a tattoo parlor, although that might not be such a bad idea... However, our jewelry collection is created by amazing designers from all over the world. Just in time for your holiday shopping, three of our newest jewelry artists have sent us intriguing new work.

Amy Kekst: Artfully elegant necklaces and earrings are the signature style of this fabulous designer. Amy has been creating in the arts for over thirty years, and now works with her twin sister, Audrey. They use semi-precious gemstones and combine them with silver and gold to create timeless designs. Kekst's designs are bold and tactile, and often combine suprising elements to achieve a stunning visual impact. Perfect for an elegant evening out, or to put the perfect touch on a more casual outfit.

Anne Koplik: Inspired by vintage designs, Anne Koplik has been developing her line of earrings, necklaces, braclets and brooches for over twenty-seven years. Her initial inspiration stemmed from her mother, who was a millinery designer during the 1920's. Anne now works with her daughters to develop a new line every season. Each piece is made with brass filigree findings and glass crystals to create an instant heirloom.

Birgitt Hellemann: Originally from Germany, Birgitt now lives in the Bay Area. She makes beautiful creations from dichroic and fused glass. Dichroic glass has micro-thin coatings of metal oxides and was originally developed by NASA for use in satelite optics and spacesuit visors. Since it's development, artists have discovered the art of fusing in a glass kiln to create one-of-a-kind sculputres and jewelry. We have over thirty examples of Birgitt's beautiful work in the form of earrings, bracelets and necklaces.

Hurry in to check out this eye-candy!
Don't forget the new season of Ayala Bar is half over.

Artfully Designed ICON Handbags and Accessories Have Arrived!

Back: Pekinese Pal cosmetic case with mirror, Adoration cosmetic case with mirror
Front: Hygeia continental wallet, art by Gustav Klimt

Chemers Gallery, your "one-stop-shop" for unique gift items, artwork and framing, has added yet another fantastic vendor to our mix. ICON has arrived just in time for the holidays! One of our clients told us about the luxurious handbags and leather goods, and Karen jumped at the chance to bring them into the gallery. Museum-quality reproductions of some of the world's most notable art works characterize ICON's incredibly soft, fine leather products, making them ideal for the gallery setting.

Launched in 2001 by an Hollywood filmmaker and art collector, ICON introduced the nation to Andy Warhol's Campbell Soup Can imprinted on a leather, comfort sneaker. This bold use of color, printed on soft, supple leather was unique in a world of brown and black leather shoes.

By licensing the use of images from up-and-coming artists, as well as masters like Monet, Van Gogh and Klimt, ICON created a phenomenon. It quickly caught the attention of celebrities, media, and before long these wild, new conversation starters were selling out.

Soon the loyal ICON customer was collecting her favorite artists as well as wearing "some of the most comfortable shoes ever." Now the art lover can take her art with her to enjoy all day long.
