Schwartz has been painting for over 50 years and his works vary from photo realism to pop art genres. He has mastered the art of capturing light and color of a scene. Balboa (above) depicts the Balboa Island Fun Zone in Newport Beach, Ca. The scenery in this piece was painted as the sunset and the sky was painted from a photograph earlier that afternoon. The two components in this piece add drama and emotion to this landscape.
