Laguna Beach Summer Arts Festivals

Did you miss out on the annual summer art festivals in Laguna Beach? Don't sweat it! Beat the heat and see what you missed at Chemers Gallery! We carry a selection of work from some of the talented participating artists year-round!

Sandy Clark: Soft still life and figurative works done in watercolor. Sandy works mostly on yupo paper, which is a synthetic paper that adds to the spontaneity of her work. Her dreamy compositions are created using non-traditional techniques.

Lilia Venier: Fun, whimsical ceramics with unique glazes and textures. Lilia uses a combination of techniques, such as throwing and hand-building to create one-of-a-kind art pieces. Each work makes you want to touch them to feel the textures for yourself!

Jie Zhou: Beautiful, traditional landscape oil paintings. Jie has an eye for detail and composition. Influenced by the muted colors of his childhood in Suzhou, China and the more vivid colors of his adulthood, Jie expresses peacefulness in his paintings.

Mary Aslin: Award-winning still life and plein air pastels. Mary's colors are rich and velvety. They really convey her love of the creative process. Mary also exhibited at the Sawdust Festival this year.

Dirk Hagner: Sophisticated relief etching, letterpress and woodcut prints that combine text and image to stir emotion. Originally from Germany, Dirk uses his experience with language, words and printmaking to create unique landscapes and breathtaking figures.

Gerald Schwartz: Gerald's details are simply amazing in his photo-realistic oil paintings. Using the ever-changing sky and retro elements as inspiration, his striking paintings have the ability to draw you closer to the canvas for further investigation.
