Reflections on the River Series

River's Current by Bonnie Holmes

Bonnie's new river scenes center around her annual forays to Montana and the Missouri River. Tom, her husband, fishes with their friends while Bonnie photographs and paints small studies on site. Her soft sorbet colors pair wonderfully with the textures she creates by painting wet into wet with her pallet knife.

Mary Aslin
Symphony of Light Series

Pearlescent by Mary Aslin

Working primarily in pastel, Mary captures the tone and feel of her subjects beautifully. Her classical compositions are often praised for the quality of light and the luminosity she brings to her art. From still life to seascape, Mary's rich and velvety colors spring to life on the paper.

New works for the reception are not yet on our website. Click the links to see examples of work we currently have in the gallery. We'll put up a few teaser images on Thursday, February 25th. Guess you'll just have to come Saturday, February 27th to see the works in all their splendor!

We Heart Valentine's Day!

Our hearts are all a-flutter because Valentine's Day is a-comin'! Are you stuck for a sweet treat for your sweetie? Don't worry your little "beaters," we've got some "heartful" suggestions for unique gifts!

Heart Plate by Linda Warwick Smith - We're mad for Linda Warwick Smith's fused glass! New to Chemers Gallery, she creates complex patterns to form beautiful plates and panels. Display this fused and slumped mosaic piece on an easel or on your coffee table to remind you of the one you love all year round.

Love Box by Maria Counts - Talented ceramicist Maria Counts is a true romantic. Complete with carvings and impressions all to do with amour, this "Love Box" is the perfect little trinket for a night stand or dressing table. It even opens so your honey can keep little mementos inside.

Heart Art by Dan Allison - True love should be on display every day. We think Dan Allison agrees. His aquatint "Parade" shows the many forms love takes. This piece is unframed, but don't fear! We have thousands of fabric and frame samples to choose from to make sure you love this artwork as much as your beloved.

Hearts Galore by Robert Held - Give away your heart...literally! Robert Held creates beautiful signed blown glass hearts in his Canadian studio in a variety of sizes, shapes, and patterns. Each one is unique, just like the real deal. Great for men and women alike, these hearts and smaller heartlets always bring smiles.

Jewels for Your Juliet - Joanna Craft, Michelene Berkey, Joshua Warwick Smith, Anne Koplik and Dinna Yesachar have got you covered in the love department. Whether it be paper and resin, metal and gemstones, lampworked glass, crystals and enamel or polymer clay, all have a little something to offer. Give her a handcrafted necklace and let her adorn herself in your adoration!

Here Is My Heart, illustrated by Jane Dyer - At a loss for romantic words for your Romeo? Let this collection of love poems, compiled by William Jay Smith and illustrated by Jane Dyer, do the talking for you! "Here Is My Heart" is signed by both William and Jane and was part of our children's book illustration show a few years ago.

Not infatuated with hearts?
We have plethora of ideas that are sure to delight your sweetheart.
Still can't decide? Give a Chemers Gallery gift certificate and let your loved ones choose their heart's content!
