We have more than 200 original illustrations available for purchase from these award-winning artists. Plus, over 50 books  are available for pre-sale from now until the close of business (5pm) November 24th or until each illustrator has sold 200 books, whichever comes first. Come in early to pick your books so you don't miss out! You'll still be able to purchase books the day of the show, but we can't guarantee the availability of titles. Follow this link for the 2012 Book List.

If you can't make it to Chemers Gallery the day of the reception and signing, no worries! We will take care of getting your pre-ordered books signed and dedicated for you. They will be ready for you to pick up at your convenience any time in the afternoon of December 1st and on. Even if you live out of the area, you may purchase art and books and we will ship them to you! All artwork is available to view on our website.  We are happy to answer any questions via phone or email.

Meet and mingle with our illustrators the day of the show, and enjoy their original artwork, books, talks and demonstrations throughout the afternoon. Click here for this year's lecture & presentation schedule.
Clients who purchase illustrations will be invited to a private evening with the illustrators.

Boris Kulikov
Returning to Chemers Gallery for a second time, Boris' illustrations really capture the imagination. His bold colors and exaggerated perspectives work hand in hand to bring the stories to life. A graduate of The Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinema in St. Petersburg, Russia, Boris delights with a mixture of watercolor, gouache, pen & ink and pencil on highly textured paper. Boris won the Sydney Taylor Honor for The Castle on Hester Street and has had several books chosen as "Best Books of the Year."

E.B. Lewis
Sensitive, gestural watercolors are the cornerstone of the work of E.B. Lewis. The winner of both the Coretta Scott King award and a Caldecott Honor, E.B. has over 50 books to his credit with more to come. He began to study art in 6th grade at the influence of two artist uncles and later attended Temple University Tyler School of Art. His masterful watercolor illustrations portray stories of both cultural and historical significance.

Sylvia Long
An avid observer of nature with a keen eye for detail, Sylvia brings us brightly hued watercolors with a strong natural theme. In another lifetime, she wanted to become a veterinarian, but later discovered her true love in illustrating children's books. Her books have been chosen by Scholastic as part of the "Top 100 Children's Books of All Time."  Sylvia's vibrant watercolors sparkle with life and charm.

Chris Sheban
Chris's humorous watercolor & Prismacolor illustrations simply leap off the page! He has illustrated numerous books and book covers including Because of Winn Dixie. His process of layering color and medium lends a velvety texture that shows off the details of his work to a tee. With talent like that, is it any wonder he's won multiple gold and silver medals from the Society of Illustrators?!

Matt Tavares
Engaging us with graphite, watercolor and gouache, Matt has a style distinctly his own.  His first book, Zachary's Ball, began as a senior thesis project at Bates College, and later went on to win awards and honors, including an Oppenheim Gold Seal Award. Matt's subtle detailing works wonders in his many baseball and biographical books - you just have to see his work in person to catch every nuance!

Every year, the Children's Book Illustration Show benefits a local children's charity. This year, Chemers Gallery has again chosen to work with...

The Wooden Floor's mission is to empower low-income youth from diverse backgrounds to strengthen self-esteem, self-discipline and a sense of accomplishment through dance, academic and family programs. Since 2005, they are pround that 100% of their young artists graduate from high school on time and go on to pursue higher education. This is about 3 times the national average for their socio-economic peers.
